Submissions will be considered for those craft venues that sell work produced in the nine rural counties listed below and those artisan studios located in the rural area of those counties. The word "STUDIO" refers to any home based, or professional work environment such as a craft/artisan workshop with, or without a public showroom space. The word "VENUE" refers to a retail business such as a craft store, gallery, museum, or like place of interest. If you provide a mailing address that does not reflect the location of your venue or studio, please contact the coordinator. Please note: The Artisans Center of Virginia reserves the right to reject any submission. (Large City Limits: The focus of this particular grant is on the rural areas of nine counties. Artisan studios located outside of the city limits of Roanoke, Salem, Harrisonburg may apply, however a population cap of 23,000 and above excludes artisan studios located within Roanoke, Salem, Harrisonburg. Venues in all cities within the nine county region including Roanoke, Salem, Harrisonburg may apply if work from the rural areas is represented. We encourage those artisans with studios located within Roanoke, Salem, Harrisonburg to contact the Artisans Center of Virginia.
